Standard Child Care First Aid

Comprehensive two-day course offering lifesaving first aid skills, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills, and injury prevention skills and knowledge, with a focus on childhood injuries and illnesses. Includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines and meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial early childhood education and day care worker safety requirements*.

Child Care First Aid and CPRDuration:

16–20 hours. Flexible scheduling options.

Completion Requirements:

100% attendance, skills demonstration, and 75% min. passing grade on written exam

Certification:

3-year certification in Standard Child Care First Aid

Recertification:

8 hours in-class*

All First Aid Programs must adhere to federal, provincial, and territorial legislation, which is found at www.redcross.ca/firstaidlegislation . While the Canadian Red Cross has researched the legislative requirements, it is the responsibility of the Instructor to ensure that those requirements are met in the courses that they instruct.
